Perempuan saling mendukung (SHE EMPOWERS HER)

#KITAKARTINIPROJECT  is a social initiative that started the first intervention in August 2018. The mission is to support girls and women in rural communities, especially those who live in poverty by inviting them to join regular capacity-building programs as well as giving them social delivery assistance. We are working on women empowerment and advocacy. Kita Kartini means We are Kartini, as Kartini is taken from the name of a prominent Indonesian national heroine from Java, Raden Adjeng Kartini whose character is the lifetime epitome of confidence and intelligence. We invite girls and women in villages (who are not only limited to access and opportunity, but also limited of self confidence) to reintroduce herself about her inner true-self, that they are women, they are Kartini. Moreover our main agenda is to facilitate them with regular small group meetings that contain a sharing session and capacity building program. So far we reached more than 1700 women in West Java, Central Java and Bali – Indonesia.
